North Bay City Councillor Daryl Vaillancourt has stepped down from his position as Chair of the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit Board, and as council’s representative for the group. Vaillancourt  is also the executive director of the North Bay and District Humane Society, and says people were having trouble differentiating between his positions. This became clear to Vaillancourt when him and the Humane Society were put under public scrutiny during a recent dog bite case. He says leaving the Health Unit is bitter sweet and that he remains a big supporter of Dr. Chirico  and staff.
