Info session in Mattawa focusing on flood recovery tonight

Mattawa Mayor Dean Backer has said, “We still have work to do and people to help!”

Information will be available to those affected by the Mattawa spring flooding. Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced a provincial flood assistance information session will be held in Mattawa Thursday at 6:30pm at the Mattawa Council Chambers.

“Our number one priority is the safety of the public and the protection of our communities. Our government is committed to protecting what matters most – and that includes protecting our homes, businesses, and infrastructure that keeps our economy moving. We continue to deploy all resources at our disposal to help Ontario families,” said Fedeli.

Staff from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will give a presentation on the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program, including information on eligibility criteria, support documentation requirements, and how to apply.
