Almost 3000 CCAC Health workers in Ontario are on strike this morning. That includes the Northeast CCAC, which has 266 ONA members. Final talks with the province have been unsuccessful over the last few weeks. You may notice pickets set up at the two entrances of the North Bay Regional Health Centre. The hospital wants to make sure everyone’s aware this is not a hospital employee strike but the CCAC nurses who work at the health centre.The ONA is fighting for a secure contract that includes slightly higher wages.
