Guelph man missing since early June located safe in the area

A photo posted near McConnell Lake has led to a man reported missing from Guelph, Ontario, in early June by his family to be located safe and sound.

The man’s family had not seen 36-year-old Grant Donais since June 10 and expressed concern for his well-being after his recent personal problems. A family member affixed posters with the missing man’s photo near where he was found. Police say they were called in after someone recognized Donais from the poster.

In late June, the Guelph Police Service appealed to North Bay Police and local residents to keep an eye out for one of its citizens they believed could be in the area. Donais, the subject of that request was found Friday in the North Bay area. He had been camping near a lake 50 kilometres north of North Bay. The OPP checked in on Donais and determined he was not at risk.
