The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is partnering with Staples to host its 11th Annual Summer Company Tradeshow, today.
The Summer Company Program is funded by the province of Ontario and promotes youth entrepreneurship by providing funding of up to $3,000 to students between the ages of 15 and 29 to start-up and run a business over the course of the summer. Today’s event runs from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Staples, located at 1899 Algonquin Avenue, in North Bay.
The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for the start-up and expansion of small enterprises in the Nipissing and Parry Sound regions.
This year, 12 young entrepreneurs were funded to operate their business ventures, some of which include lawn care services, fitness trainer, graphic designer, art supplies subscription box, photography/videography services, and more.
The tradeshow gives students community exposure to experience marketing and to sell their products and/or services. The event is open to the public free of charge and organizers say they appreciate the public’s support in helping to provide this learning experience for the young entrepreneurs.
