Man wanted by North Bay police stopped in Sturgeon Falls

A Thornloe man wanted for failing to appear at the North Bay courthouse has been arrested in Sturgeon Falls.

The man was caught as a result of Nipissing West OPP getting a call about a pick-up truck being driven erratically on Highway 17 and at a high rate of speed.

When police stopped the truck they determined the driver had been drinking and that he was also wanted by North Bay police for the court matter.

The OPP charged the 37-year-old with impaired-related offences and turned him over to the North Bay police in connection with the failure to appear in court issue.
