The driver of a boom truck is charged with careless driving after an incident yesterday morning closed an area road for several hours.
The North Bay OPP says officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a boom truck that caught overhead wires and broke a utility pole on Nosbonsing Park Road in East Ferris Township.
The incident caused a power outage to the area. Hydro attended to turn off the power to allow the driver to exit the vehicle, and for the crew to replace the pole.
