Abandoned puppies elicit call for help from community

A box found by a local dumpster containing 11 newborn puppies has the North Bay and District Humane Society putting out a call to the community for help.

“Friends, we are in critical need of help, so please spread the word,” the Humane Society posted on its Facebook page.

“We just received a box of 11 newborn puppies abandoned by a local dumpster. These puppies need critical intervention to survive, so we are asking the general public for 1 or 2 nursing mothers to help feed this litter. We are also asking for volunteer support in the case that a nursing mother cannot be found.”
