Caisse contribution helps students attend the IPM

Caisse Alliance has announced it will be contributing $34,000 in order to give more than 6,000 local students the ability to partake in the International Plowing Match.

According to Philippe Boissonneault, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Caisse Alliance, helping to ensure the transportation of as many students to this international gathering is directly related to some of the Caisse’s priorities and as they view the event as a major and priority event.

“As a financial cooperative, educating youth is part of our role. Promoting cooperation and collective entrepreneurship is one of our priorities. We believe it is important to give the opportunity to as many students as possible to discover an important economic driver in our region.”

The Caisse is proud to offer support to the following school boards: Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord, Conseil Scolaire Catholique Nouvelon, Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario, Near North District School Board, Rainbow Schools, and Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board.

“Recognizing the role of agriculture in the development of the Northern Ontario region is essential, and there is no grander way to demonstrate it,” said Pierre Dorval, Caisse Alliance President, and Chief Executive Officer.

“Many of our employees are very actively involved in the organization and will take part in the festivities as volunteers or participants.”
