Cadets look to drum up interest with open house

Earlier this month, the 204 Algonquin Royal Canadian Army cadet corps held their annual September open house.

The cadets and staff put on a hot dog and hamburger barbecue and invited the public to join with their sons and daughters who might be interested in signing up for the cadet program. The cadet program is open to those aged 12-18 and free of charge and new cadets are always welcome.

The cadets had the opportunity to sign up for various teams, some of which included marksmanship, biathlon, orienteering, and drill. Cadets meet weekly on Tuesdays at the Fort Chippewa Barracks (formerly ML Troy Armoury) from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
