Close to 300 walkers in Coldest Night of the Year…

The cold didn’t scare the close to 300 walkers in North Bay’s annual Coldest Night of the Year walk on Saturday. So far, over 63-thousand dollars has been raised through the winter walkathon, and more donations are expected to trickle in this week. All the money goes to benefit The Gathering Place, which feeds more than 33-thousand meals per year to the hungry through their breakfast and lunch programs. The event went off without a hitch, hosted by our own Mike Monaghan, joined by guest speakers Jill Clarke, Mayor Al McDonald, and Scott Clark.
