Bonfield assault leads to life-threatening injuries

North Bay OPP was called to a residence on Church Street in Bonfield over the weekend.

When officers arrived at the residence, they found a person with life-threatening injuries. That person is now in stable condition at the hospital.

The OPP Crime Unit is continuing an investigation under Detective Inspector Jim Gorry of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or anyone who was in the Bonfield area on the evening of September 21 or early morning of September 22 and observed anything suspicious, you are asked to call the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also submit information online at Crime Stoppers. Being anonymous, you will not be required to testify in court and information you provide may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
