Students going door to door for the Food Bank

Students from the local high schools will be out and about Wednesday evening collecting food for the North Bay Food Bank.

The students will be out from 4:30pm until 8:00pm.

This annual event is essential to stocking the Food Bank’s shelves in preparation for Christmas which is when the Food Bank sees a lot of traffic.

October’s Food of the Month is baby food, pablum, large-sized diapers and wipes; however, the food bank welcomes all non-perishable food items as donations. If you don’t think that you will be home during the time that the students are out, you can leave your donation in a clearly marked bag just outside your door.  The Food Bank also accepts online donations as well.

The North Bay Food Bank is available to accept food and monetary donations year-round. The food bank is located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay and is open to serve clients Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00am until noon, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm until 6:00pm.
