Voodoos pick up more honours

The Powassan Voodoos have picked up a couple of more stars.

In the past week, captain Parker Bowman received a weekly NOJHL star. The sniper picked up four goals in a pair of victories for Powassan over the French River Rapids. One of the goals was a game-winner.

The Bracebridge native, in his second year with the Voodoos, has scored in six straight games. Bowman also leads the league in goals with 11 in nine games and second in total points with 16. The captain also leads the NOJHL with eight power-play goals.

The other star for Powassan comes from the blue paint in goaltender Owen Say.

Say, who was named a weekly star in the first week of the season, had not received the goaltender of the month honour for the month of September.

The London product started six games for the Voodoos and came away with a victory in each. His save percentage of .943 also ranks third in the league.

Say also posted his first shutout in the league with a 4-0 victory over the Cochrane Crunch earlier in the month.
