North Bay OPP has arrested a man in relation to an assault in Bonfield in mid-September.
Originally, Police had been called to a residence on Church Street. When officers arrived at the house, they found a person with life-threatening injuries. The victim is now in stable condition.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, officers arrested a 30-year-old man from Bonfield earlier today.
The man has been charged with:
- Attempted Murder
- Aggravated Sexual Assault
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in North Bay tomorrow (Wednesday).
The North Bay OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or anyone who was in the Bonfield area on the evening of September 21st or early morning of September 22nd and observed anything suspicious, to call the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
