Significant snowfall expected Thursday evening

Halloween, a date that is synonymous with trick or treating, dressing up, ghosts and goblins and now…snow?

Environment Canada has advised that there could be significant snowfall in the area for Thursday evening and into Friday morning.

The special weather statement was issued for North Bay, Powassan, Mattawa, West Nipissing, French River, Greater Sudbury and vicinity, Temiskaming Shores, Temagami, Burk’s Falls, Bayfield Inlet, and Temiscaming.

The snowfall is expected to be around 10 to 20cm and will likely taper off  Friday afternoon.

Environment Canada is advising that if you have non-essential travel, to consider postponing it.

Bundle up the trick or treaters.
