North Bay OPP has arrested a man after receiving a report that he had attempted to buy a firearm while currently having a lifetime Firearms Prohibition.
After investigating, the 66-year-old from Mattawa was arrested and charged with:
- (Attempt) Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
The man will remain in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on December 5.
