$30,000 worth of snow blowers taken from local business

North Bay Police Service is investigating a recent break-in at a local business on Highway 17 East.

Police say that sometime between 5:00pm on December 3, and 6:30am the next day, suspects forced their way into a fenced compound and stole 15 snow blowers that were still in boxes unassembled.

The 15 snow blowers are estimated to be worth a combined value of $30,000.

The investigation is continuing.

“We now have to spend more money to secure our property on top of what we spent before,” a concerned employee stated. “This will affect the prices we can offer customers and our bottom line.”

Officers are asking anyone with information that may assist with this investigation to call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and select option 9 to speak to a police officer. For those who wish to remain anonymous, contact Near North Crime Stoppers, by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by submitting a tip online.
