North Bay Police Service was called to a disturbance in a parking lot on McNamara Street, which led to the arrest of a man for illicit drugs.
Late Tuesday, officers were called to the parking lot, in which there was a physical altercation between several men. Police conducted an investigation and identified a home that a man had entered. The man had been identified as having an outstanding warrant for arrest. Officers arrested him and following a search, police say they found 11.6 grams of suspected purple fentanyl valued at $7,550.
The 33-year-old man from North Bay has been charged with:
- One count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- One count of breach of probation
The accused is remaining in custody pending a bail hearing.
