Environment Canada has issued a flash freeze warning for the North Bay area.

North Bay, Powassan and Mattawa are all under the warning.  After a relatively mild evening, temperatures are expected to fall rapidly tonight to well below the freezing mark as an Arctic cold front moves in.

Rain will quickly change to snow and end before morning.

Snow and slush left on roads and sidewalks are expected to freeze causing icy conditions.

Motorists should expect poor winter driving conditions tonight.
