NBPS make arrest over summer robbery

North Bay Police Service has arrested a man in relation to a late July robbery.

Police say the male victim was working as a delivery person when he was approached by the accused approached with a knife and took a small amount of money. Shortly after, the victim drove to find the accused and began yelling at him to give back the money. The accused again approached the victim with a knife and punched and kicked the victim to the ground before taking off in the victim’s car.

The car, a silver 2001 Honda CRV was found the next day in Stonecliffe, Ontario with the help of the OPP.

On December 18, Police the investigation led to the arrest of the 25-year-old man from North Bay who was charged with:

  • One count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Two counts Robbery with a Weapon

The man is being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
