Families First celebrating 26 years of fun

The 26th annual Families First New Year’s Eve is set to welcome 2020.

The event is free to all and runs from 5:00pm to 9:00pm New Year’s Eve, although there is a family swim at the YMCA from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

Outside the Y, activities will happen in Thompson Park and Memorial Gardens. There are activities for everyone including family skate, button making, inflatable bouncy land, giant games, photo booths, interactive reptile shows, face painting, a sweet treat, and a fireworks finale at the end of the night.

Brian Winkworth, Families First Committee member says “We encourage all members of the community and their families to come down and join us in an evening of fun and entertainment”.

Although admission is free, everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food to donate to the North Bay Food Bank.

“The entire Committee would like to thank all of our sponsors and donors of this event,” said Wendy Prieur, Families First Committee member. “It wouldn’t be possible without you!”
