Some local museums will benefit from the Community Museum Operating Grant program announced Tuesday.
Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says $30,164 is to be split between Discovery North Bay and the Callander Bay Museum. Discovery North Bay will receive $22,066, while Callander Bay will get $8,098.
“This support helps museums across the province protect and interpret Ontario’s cultural heritage and strengthen the capacity of organizations right across the heritage sector,” said Fedeli.
The Ontario government adds it is committed to a strong culture sector and museums play a significant role in contributing to lifelong learning and the creation of vibrant, creative communities.
