Police investigating sudden death of a toddler

The sudden death of a 23-month-old child has prompted an investigation by North Bay OPP.

Officers say they received a call from North Bay and District Ambulance Service on Wednesday about the child who was found with no vital signs at a home in East Ferris. When they arrived with ambulance personnel, the infant was pronounced dead.

Police are working alongside the office of the Chief Coroner throughout the investigation.
