Trio of arrests for North Bay Police

A trio of arrests has led to the recovery of property from several break-ins, according to North Bay Police Service (NBPS).

Officers say they were investigating several property crimes in the North Bay area. The investigation led to a home on Delaware Avenue. On Monday, NBPS, with assistance from the North Bay OPP used a search warrant that ended with the arrest of three people.

The 32-year-old North Bay man is charged with:

  • Two counts of Break and Enter
  • Four counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000
  • Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000
  • One count of Breach of Recognizance

A 28-year-old from North Bay is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000
  • Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000
  • One count of Breach of Probation

And a 52-year-old man from North Bay is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
  • Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000

Through a search of the home, officers say they found and took a large number of tools consisting of both corded and cordless hand tools, three mattresses, box spring and a canoe trailer with seven canoes.

Police say the items recovered are from break-ins in North Bay, and a break-in from the Temagami area. The investigation is continuing as officers try to figure out where the stolen property came from.

The 32-year-old and 28-year-old remain in custody pending a bail hearing, while the 52-year-old has been released with a court date set for March 3rd in North Bay.
