City of North Bay changes up parking downtown

The City of North Bay has changed how parking is regulated downtown.

As of February 1, on-street parking is now available for free for one-hour at all pay and display areas. Previously there was no free parking offered for on-street parking.

Daily paid parking will also come to an end at 4:30 p.m., as opposed to the previous time of 6:00 p.m.

More changes will be coming on April 1, as quarterly parking permit fees in the Lot 4 parking garage on McIntyre Street West will be reduced. Overnight parking fees will also be eliminated for levels one through four in the garage.

Those who live in the downtown core will see a 50 per cent discount on parking permits as of April 1.
