Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says Thursday’s announcement that Voyageur Airways is being sold to Chorus Aviation is great news. Fedeli says at about 350 employees, Voyageur got as big as it could under present circumstances. But the Chorus deal changes that. He says Voyageur now has access to deeper pockets meaning it can finance bigger projects and that means work jobs. In fact Fedeli believes Voyageur’s biggest problem could become finding people to fill new positions. Meanwhile the North Bay chamber of commerce also likes the deal saying it should mean more work at Voyageur and that means more jobs.
