Man charged with credit card fraud

A Toronto man faces fraud charges after trying to make large purchases in North Bay last Friday with falsified credit cards.  About a week before the arrest, city police warned merchants to watch for this kind of activity.  The Friday incident took place at several Northgate Square stores.  Police say although the credit cards had the man’s name on them the real owner’s name showed up once the card’s magnetic stripes were scanned.  The accused is charged with two counts of possession of fraudulent credit cards.
