West Ferris Secondary School will soon have an elevator. The Near North Board has approved almost 1-million dollars for a construction company to install the elevator and upgrade some lighting. The school has three students who will be using the elevator to access the second floor of the school. The board is awarded a total of 4-million dollars a year to maintain its elementary and high schools.
