Zoning change concerns North Bay residents

Some North Bay residents are concerned by the Children’s Aid Society proposal to merge its offices around the city to one site.  The site is the former St. Paul school on Elmwood.  Ken Moreau lives right across the street from the former school and he’s worried that tripling the parking from 30 to 90 vehicles will create rush hour nightmares.  And Trisha Marshall is worried what happens to the site if the CAS leaves it in the future.  She’s concerned that it could be turned into a half way home, something that’s allowed under the zoning rules.  Meanwhile, the firm representing the CAS at the re-zoning stage, Miller and Urso, says although traffic will increase, the impact will be minimal.
