Steelworkers Union and Ontario Northland reach five year deal…

The United Steelworkers Union Local 1976 has struck a deal with Ontario Northland. 88% of members voted in favor of the new five year agreement. Local 1976 represents over 100 employees working in customer service, rail traffic control and train operations. In a statement, Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says he commends the efforts of both parties to negotiate an agreement that focuses on the interests of employees.
