Junior mining company Noront Resources now has a big stake in the Ring of Fire. They have struck a deal with Cliffs Natural Resources to acquire 103 of the company’s claims in the mineral deposit. The 20-million dollar deal is expected to be approved in court this April. The company could begin building a mine in late 2015 if their three year environmental assessment is approved.
