The COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund has released its first round of grants.
The North Bay Food Bank will receive $5,000, while the Gathering Place will see $2,500. The North Bay and Area Community Foundation (NBACF), who announced the relief fund in late March, says both organizations are dealing with increased needs.
The fund is to help local organizations on the frontlines in healthcare and food security. NBACF says as the fund grows, they will allocate grants where the need is most pressing in the community.
