The Pan Am Torch Relay will be heading through North Bay on June 3rd and now the Chamber of Commerce has chosen the official torchbearer. John Strang has been chosen to carry the torch through the city, for his tremendous community involvement in charitable organizations including the Food Bank and Crime Stoppers. The torch relay wraps up on July 10th with the dramatic lighting of the cauldron at the Opening Ceremony in downtown Toronto.
