The City of North Bay says there will be potential traffic disruptions in the coming weeks as the reconstruction project of the Seymour Street and Highway 11/17 intersection continues.
Officials say blasting and storm sewer construction will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., which will see the temporary closures of the northbound east through lane, to the northbound right turn ramp. Right turns will be permitted at the intersection during the disruptions. According to officials, the schedule will be reviewed and revised as required on an ongoing basis.
Officials say the City, Ministry of Transportation, and the contractor is aware of the need to maintain traffic through the Seymour and Highway 11/17 corridors, but the work must be completed responsibly and safely at all times.
They add that travellers should consider adding extra time to their commutes or take alternate routes.
