North Bay OPP recover vehicle reported stolen in 2010

North Bay OPP say a car failing to stop has led to the recovery of a vehicle reported stolen from Toronto in 2010.

In the early morning of Thursday, North Bay OPP say they were told of a car heading north on Highway 11 at a high speed from the Almaguin Highlands area. Police in the Almaguin area had tried to stop it, but the car kept speeding along.

Officers say they were able to locate the car near Powassan. As police were following it, the car stopped suddenly causing a crash with the police cruiser.

Later, officials say they found the car on Line Three in the Township of Bonfield with no occupants in the vehicle. Canine officers were able to find two people hiding not far from where they found the vehicle.
