A third member of a nearby OPP detachment has been confirmed as positive for COVID-19.
Officials confirmed the officer, who serves in the Temiskaming Shores detachment, is in isolation and following health protocols.
“We wish them a speedy recovery,” said Sargent Carlo Berardi. “Their family and colleagues are in our thoughts.”
Officials added they were made aware of the diagnosis on Saturday.
The other two cases came from the Nipissing West and West Parry Sound detachments.
