The reconstruction of Gertrude Street from the Knox Court intersection to the West Ferris Community Centre is set to start again on Monday.
City officials say the contractor for the Gertrude Street Sewage Pumping Station, Sanitary Sewer, and Forcemain project has completed the commissioning of the new sewage pumping station and all that’s left is the roadwork.
As part of the reconstruction, Gertrude Street will be closed for approximately two weeks and at various times throughout May to speed up the process.
The detour that was in place last summer and fall will once again be in place to allow traffic to travel around the work zone.
