Bay Days 2020 cancelled

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second running of Bay Days has been cancelled.

The free, three-day event was set to run June 12 to 14 and was to feature a variety of local businesses, art, and various family activities along Main Street, the Museum and waterfront.

Officials say the committee was excited to build on the momentum established by the first Bay Days last year but adds they are aware of the obstacles the pandemic has created and will create over the coming months.

“We recognize this is a community event that involves planning and partnerships,” explained committee co-chair Steve Dreany. “With the current restrictions on gatherings and uncertainties that lie ahead we made the clear decision to cancel the event and direct our efforts towards next year.”
