North Bay Police Service (NBPS) say an early Wednesday morning crash at Champlain Park in North Bay has resulted in the death of one person.
Officials say police received the call reporting a car had driven into the Lavase River at the boat launch just after midnight.
One person was taken out of the vehicle and sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, however, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
NBPS is continuing the investigation.
North Bay Fire and Emergency Services, along with Nipissing Paramedic Services responded to the call as well.
