North Bay Police Service says a 44-year-old woman from North Bay is in some hot water after a disturbance at a home on Massey Drive.
Police say just before dinner time on Tuesday, the accused tried to enter the home, but was stopped by a neighbour who then called the police. The accused then left the area before police arrived.
Officers say a few hours later, the accused once again showed up, this time entering the home and confronting a woman who lived there, accusing her of stealing property. The accused then assaulted the victim and threw a chair at her, before leaving the home. The argument continued once outside, and two neighbours tried to intervene.
Officials say the 44-year-old then spit on a person, and when police arrived they heard the accused make a threat towards another woman. None of the victims required medical attention.
Police say the 44-year-old has been charged with:
- One count of Break, Enter with intent
- One count of Assault with a Weapon
- One Count of Assault
- One count of Uttering Threats
The accused has since been released from custody with a court date in North Bay on July 28.
