North Bay property owners will have the opportunity to see how a proposed new rate structure will impact their water bills. An open house is being held from 4:30 until 6:30 in the main lobby of City Hall tonight, followed by a public meeting in council chambers. Residents are asked to bring proof of ownership along with photo ID so that staff can review their accounts. Right now a 60 per cent fixed cost along with a 40 per cent variable rate are being proposed, followed by annual adjustments in the years following.
