North Bay Mayor Al McDonald says to hold off on garage sales.
With warmer temperatures here, it is not uncommon to see posters around town advertising a garage sale here and there, but McDonald says the time is not yet right thanks to COVID-19.
“We’re asking people not to have garage sales, or yard sales because people can’t be protected,” he told Moose FM. “The Medical Officer of Health has asked us not to allow them.”
However, McDonald says enforcing it could be tricky as there is no law against having a garage sale.
“We don’t have a bylaw, so we’re asking people to not have garage or yard sales at this time until we get clear of it.”
