A popular phrase when talking to North Bay residents is the City experiences only two seasons – winter and construction.
Construction season is here in full swing as City officials have announced which roads will be undertaking the work beginning next week:

- Norwood Avenue from Browning Street to Algonquin Avenue
- Norman Avenue from Rancier Street to Giroux Street

- Oak Street East from Ferguson Street to Wyld Street
- Gibson Street from Dree Street to Birchs Road
- MacDonald Avenue East from Lee Avenue to Strathcona Drive

Officials add that the work is expected to last until October. The work involves pulverizing, milling, paving, granular shouldering and gutter replacement. The work also includes the rehabilitation of approximately 825 metres of the Kate Pace Way from Lee Park to the east.
Traffic will be affected because of the nature of the work, but the roadways will remain open for vehicles and pedestrians. If a road is closed, a detour will be set up. Updates will be provided when they become available.
