Northgate set to reopen

With the announcement of the North Bay area moving to phase two of reopening Friday, the Northgate Shopping Centre is set to reopen.

During the past few months, the mall hadn’t officially closed. Some stores, like Best Buy, Dollarama, and Scotiabank remained open, while A&W offered takeout; more stores are expected to be re-added to the roster.

In a post on Facebook, the mall says they will be operating under modified hours. The mall will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the weekend.

Officials add through the post that the shopping centre remains committed to delivering the highest standards of safety for tenants and customers by implementing new cleaning protocols, physical distancing measures and safety procedures.

According to the post, some stores might take longer to reopen and the food court will only be open for takeout and Skip the Dishes.
