North Bay firefighters use social media to fight city council on staffing levels

North Bay firefighters have started a social media campaign to counter proposed fire service cuts.   The firefighters want residents to call city councillors over their decision to reduce the minimum staffing level of 16 firefighters per shift to 13.   The message they want the public to ask council is to carry out a proper risk assessment before cutting service levels.   In a pamphlet on their Facebook and Twitter page, they list the contact   information of all members of council.   The firefighters are also circulating flyers around the city.
