North Bay OPP says they responded to a person in distress on an island in Trout Lake yesterday evening.
Police say they responded to the incident in conjunction with the North Bay & District Ambulance Service, a Crisis Intervention Nurse who works with the North Bay Police Service’s Mobile Crisis Response Team and the OPP Marine Unit.
Officials say the incident was a “mental health crisis.” Once at the residence, the situation was resolved peacefully and the person went to the hospital without incident.
