Museum to reopen next week

The North Bay Museum has circled July 2 as the day they will reopen to the public.

Museum officials say there will be some restrictions in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. There will be a maximum capacity of 30 people, with one way traffic and hand sanitizer stations set up. Interactive exhibits and benches will be removed, blocked or covered at this time.

“The North Bay Museum appreciates visitor’s patience as we adapt to these new times, and we look forward to welcoming visitors once again,” officials said. “We also encourage visitors to consider wearing face coverings and ask any visitors who are feeling unwell to refrain from visiting the museum at this time.”

Officials add the first-floor washrooms will be made available for one family at a time with regular disinfecting. Plexiglas shields have been set up in the gift shop around the cashier’s desk, and surfaces will be cleaned regularly.

The museum has also changed its hours upon reopening. They will now be open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
