Provincial Funding Coming for Trout Lake Road

The province is providing North Bay with $3,000,000 to support the resurfacing and reconstruction of Trout Lake Road.

In a release, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli states “Our government is putting people first with an investment that will strengthen our roadways in the District of Nipissing”.

The funding is part of the Connecting Links program delivered through the Ministry of Transportation.  Program funding covers up to 90 percent of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $3 million.
The Trout Lake Road project includes crosswalk upgrades, stormwater management rehabilitation, culvert replacement, traffic signal upgrades and repaving.

The schedule proposes that engineering and design for the 1.6 km project be completed in 2020 with construction taking place in 2021.
