Two young people from Callander have been charged by North Bay Police.
A NBPS investigation led to arrest of an 18-year-old woman from Callander, as well as a younger person, were both charged with One count of Break, Enter and Theft;
One count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm; and
One count of Assault with a Weapon.
The young person also faces an additional charge of uttering threats.
Police are saying that allegedly on July 31, both accused attended a residence in Callander and began looking for items. A long resident awake and confronted both accused, and a fight took place during which the victim was sprayed with a pepper spray. Both accused then ran out of the home and took several items with them.
Police were then contacted and an investigation commenced. They were able to identify the two accused, and later that morning both were arrested.
During the investigation, police were able to recover all of the items that had been removed from the victim’s residence.
Both accused will appear in the North Bay Courthouse at the end of September.
